White idyll everywhere. For children this means primarily a chance for snowmen and snowball fights!
A 68-year-old in Mettmann proved absolutely nothing as a friend of white winter joys. He was annoyed by the snowball fight of some neighbor kids total.
Then, when even a snowball flew against his window cracked by the pensioner in the backups: He ran out, yelled an eleven-year (who had thrown the ball well not to), kicked him in the butt, pulled out a pistol and shot!
The children alerted their parents, which in turn switches on the police. When the officers rang the bell at the man admitted to have the shot with his gas pistol into the air - but only in order to chase the children, he said.
The police went down in the weapon for which he had no small arms permit one.
It says the Arms Act
Has a specific occasion, the police attention to the relevant provisions of the Firearms Act. For the keeping of (type approved) Schreckschuss, irritant and signal arms in public is the so-called "small arms license" required. This was introduced with the enactment of the new Firearms Act in 2002. It allows the holder to exercise actual control over a weapon of the kind outside the home, office or enclosed possessions. Such a weapon must be equipped with the PTB-Mark (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt). Their use outside of a pacified land again allows but not the little gun license. A firing is permitted only in self-defense situations.
