Newcomer of the first round
Even in July, knew him only to insiders, since then, Holger Badstuber made a name. Since beginning of the season gives Bayern Munich's coach Louis van Gaal the 20-year-old's confidence - and since then the pro-novice performs at the German Football Rekordmeister calm and confident his service as a defensive player.
Badstuber initially acted alongside Daniel van Buyten in central defense. When the plight of Munich on the left side was always greater, who took the Under-21 international left-footed than just this Part
Last Badstuber had to be given to the even more minimal chances for a World Cup participation, celebrating the 2-1 against Gladbach his Torpremiere in the Bundesliga and then by "an unforgettable day," spoken.
Statement of the first round
Rainer Wendt drove the German Football League (DFL) and the German Football Association (DFB), the Zornesröte face. "In the current situation we have to say unfortunately, every football fan: Who's going to the stadium goes, are in mortal danger," said the chairman of the German federal police union to violence around the German football pitches.
Danger to life was for the supporters but not at any time. In addition, the Bundesgerichtshof (BGH) in Karlsruhe, the end of October in a landmark decision, the rules for stadiums with football clubs considered admissible. Police, the DFB and DFL were happy about the decision and launched an attempt to continue to proceed hand in hand against hooligans. Wendt torpedoed with his statements but then again the relationship between the football associations and the Authority.
But that's not enough. Two weeks later, again attacked Wendt: "At the moment it is: The DFL collects millions and the police corporal." And also against DFB boss Theo Zwanziger and the DFB-security chief Helmut Spahn Wendt took the stick out of the bag, "Sure, The danger for the DFB president and his security chief is manageable. The Lord of the Twenties and Mr. Spahn can swallow most of the sandwiches in the VIP room. "
Zwanziger and Spahn actually swallowed. But only briefly. Then they announced a collaboration with the police union once and for all times.
Loser of first round
It should be of great new beginning, but the debut ended with a shock: Tamas Hajnal was hobbling on his debut for Hertha Berlin in the 1:2 defeat on Matchday at FSV Mainz 05 after just nine minutes with a pain-twisted face of the square - the devastating diagnosis: broken metatarsal.
Was preceded by a battle of the midfield all-rounder with the Mainz Elkin Soto. "I had made me so much. And now, "said Kringe in a low voice.
At season's start by exiled BVB coach Jürgen Klopp on the platform, Kringe was on loan from Borussia Dortmund moved to the capital club. There, the 27-year-old should really be the great hope. After a long period of suffering, he is now virtually the first winter signing in Berlin. At 2:5 for Bayern Munich, he made his comeback. "I hope to be able to attack in the second half full again," says Kringe.
Farce of the first round
Eight days after his dismissal as football coach at Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin Lucien Favre took care of his private press conference on 6 October for a bizarre act of revenge. The 51-year-old invited journalists into classy Adlon Hotel and explained his vision for Rauswurf. Within just four months he had experienced in Berlin celebrated the transformation from savior to persona non grata.
Favre praised his archenemy Dieter Hoeness, whose Rauswurf Hertha manager as he had previously largely operated. He railed against President Werner Gegenbauer, who has long been his patron. The result: The Swiss have been terminated for vereinsschädigenden behavior, his severance package of 1.4 million euros, he must now enstrifing before the arbitral tribunal of the German Football Federation (DFB).
Oldie of the first round
It cost a cent and is now worth gold for Bayer Leverkusen. The talk is of Sami Hyypia. Organized since the 36-year-old Finn, the defense of the Rhineland, for opposing teams, there is hardly any get through. Only 13 goals in 17 games, nine times to stand behind the zero. Hyypiä itself has duel values of over 60 percent.
"The guy is unique. I know few defensive players of his class, "enthuses even Franz Beckenbauer from the Finns. No wonder that the angular defender was at his old club Liverpool crowd favorite, he played more than 460 competitive matches in ten years for the Reds. He won the British Masters record the UEFA Cup and the Champions League.
Hospital of the first round
Probably the most unique series of misfortunes began on 7 July in the test match against Wacker Innsbruck: Rupture with Alex Silva. And so it went, one performer after another fell at Hamburger SV in during the first round with some serious injuries. Paolo Guerrero, Collin Benjamin, Mladen Petric, Ze Roberto and so on. In early December, before the Euro-League match against Rapid Vienna, there were eleven players, worth around 60 million euros in the hospital or at least were not fully fit.
"As a personal misery I've never seen," said coach Bruno Labbadia. All serious plans in the summer were thrown overboard. Nevertheless Labbadia never complained publicly. The sports goal before the winter break, however, was changed. "Stay Tuned at the top" was the motto of the club, which was after seven matchdays still league leaders. This is somewhat succeeded in the group stage of Europe League was over. In the new year, it can only be getting better.
Pair of first round
Diego Klimowicz must have seemed like the Hollywood classic "Groundhog Day greetings": The striker was on the 15th of VfL Bochum Match in the 1-1 draw in Stuttgart, the red card - and once again she had Lutz Wagner in his hand.
Argentina's cashed four times in 210 Bundesliga games so far sent off, four times was the referee Lutz Wagner. "One could argue that Diego him once the woman has stretched," said FC captain Neil Clement.
On 13 August 2005 it came to "Klimo" in the jersey of VfL Wolfsburg in Moenchengladbach on the first fateful encounter with the referee from Kriftel. The friendship of a special kind sat down at the games against Wolfsburg MSV Duisburg 1 April 2006 and Arminia Bielefeld v VfL Bochum 21 February of this year continues. And as if the transaction were not already strange enough - all four games ended 1-1.
Ball boy in the first round
Aron Schulz was not aware of any guilt. "I've only made my job," said the 14-year-old student who had driven to the white heat of Jens Lehmann and the keeper of VfB Stuttgart with a single action, almost evoke the Decline of the West did. Time of the crime: 24 October 2009, 17.06 clock. Tatort: AWD-Arena Hanover. Offenses: Throwing a ball inaccurate.
It was the 81st Minute. The Stuttgart lay back with 0:1 at Hannover 96. Lehmann was fighting for every second. Compensation should ago. So the goalkeeper rushed to the sideline, to execute a throw-in. Schulz was a ball boy, but somehow not as Germany's former number one and threw the ball over the onrushing keeper across the field. In Lehmann's head, the ball made a brief stopover.
"Lehmann then asked me: 'What is this shit?'," Said Schulz later and wanted to know about an alleged time wasting nothing. The fans were amused by Lehmann, only more frustrated. "I will go home and educate my children need to be at least properly," complained the goalkeeper after the 0:1-bust of VfB.
Flight of the first round
While his colleagues at Bayern Munich on 7 November in the Bundesliga with a 1-1 or tortured against Schalke 04, Luca Toni was already on the way home. Changed in the mid-term of coach Louis van Gaal, the proud Italians immediately fled from the stadium. For the champion, it was the beginning of the end for the German record champion football.
Subsequently Toni missed no opportunity to make public his aversions to van Gaal. He spoke of "attrition" and weeks of "deprivation". The club won the attacker because of his repeated attacks, with a total 25th 000 is fine.
A parting of the striker during the winter break is two and a half years, and 38 Bundesliga goals already decided. Toni insists on return to his homeland because he is from his country "lacks everything," he recently said: "The fans, friends and my mother." Interested in the Bundesliga top scorer from 2008, notably the Roma have.
Curiosity of the first round
They arrived from all positions. A total of six times. And yet, Stand: 96 Hanover on 16 Match with empty hands. The 3:5-bust at Borussia Moenchengladbach was a case for the curio cabinet. Steve Sidwell laced one double, Shane Lowry presented a further hit after - what sounded for all the fans first 96-well, was a disaster. The two Africans had only taken into his own net.
On three own goals in a game it had in nearly 47 years of League history yet been brought before a team. Hannover keeper Morten Jensen also had a neutral observer almost feel sorry. "If it had not been so sad, you almost can laugh about it," said unlucky Haggui after the game. The Tunisian was only the sixth professional who came within 90 minutes Bundesliga twice into his own net.
The first round bye
The rise of Bayern Munich is inextricably linked to two names: Franz Beckenbauer and Uli Hoeness. The one shining as a player, interim coach, light shape and president. The other shaped over decades as manager of the German record champion. Without Hoeness Beckenbauer and Bayern Munich would be probably not the undisputed number one for years in German football.
On 27 November was the "empire" at the Munich but at the end. Beckenbauer was passed at the AGM as President and Chief Supervisory Board and acts in future only as honorary president. In return Hoeness changed, became known as "Department of attack" in Munich, from managerial positions to the square of Beckenbauer.
Of 57 years old Hoeness, whose successor in sport Christian Nerlinger had since 1979, is the destiny of Bavaria and led the club commercially marketed in new dimensions. Beckenbauer had assumed the presidency in 1994 by Fritz Scherer.
Strikers of the first round
It is not too long ago, Stefan Kiessling had to put up with nicknames such as "Chancentod" or "stumbling King." No wonder, the blond had turned out in recent years not just as a goalscorer. This has been this season to an end. The native of Franconia achieve goals such as on an assembly line, twelve responses were already in the first round, which was set his record from last year is already halfway through.
Thus Kiessling dream of World Cup participation in South Africa this year could be true. Germany coach Joachim Loew summoned the 25-year-old who in 2006 for five million euros from 1 FC Nuremberg to Leverkusen had come against the Ivory Coast (2:2) for the first time in a long time in the national squad. According to current practice may come back Kiessling.
Fettnapftreter the first round
It almost seems as if "Lehmann" the new yardstick for measuring the distance between two banana peels. In any event, Jens Lehmann left out in the first round virtually no way to show a side of himself that triggers a response at least a very strong shaking.
Lehmann has brought together an impressive since the start of the season peculiar hodgepodge of behavior. Most recently he appeared in Mainz Aristide Bance opponent intentionally on his foot, pulled at his subsequent Irrlauf Bruchweg a spectator at the glasses off her face and eventually made it by taxi.
Meanwhile, Lehmann has also paid the warning and the fine of 40,000 euros for his alleged smug submissions after the separation of VfB Stuttgart by Markus Babbel. Almost forgotten is the scene with a ball boy in Hanover, he threw the ball decent. Lehmann raged afterwards.
By the way: From a sporting perspective Lehmann has played a thoroughly remarkable first round. The sporty performance but, unfortunately, is already under me, if you pees behind advertising boards.
Crash of the first round
Only celebrated, then fired: When Markus Babbel VfB Stuttgart last season ranked third in the Bundesliga and then led into the Champions League, he was still at the foot of the Swabian. But on 6 December dismissed the VfB the 37-year-olds after 13 months in office. Only 12 points from 15 games had brought the VfB and was advised by descent in acute danger. Babbel was replaced by Christian Gross.
In November 2008 the successor of the former Munich-Stuttgart Armin Veh had begun. The Stuttgart had been at that time only Tabellenzwölfter. But the success of previous second half of the season quickly fell into oblivion. At the end Babbel could even by his friend Horst Heldt, his label at VfB sporting director, are no longer protected.
One advantage is getting fired for the former national player, after all, now he can at least complete his course in peace to receive the coach's license.
Disappointment of the first round
"People Hertha, what haste you changed," should have thought of many football fans to the first round. The title contenders last season mutated into the mocked bottom of the league.
And with what an extent: the "old lady" is preparing to even crack the negative record of Tasmania Berlin. The former city rivals ended the season 1965/66 with goals 15:108 and 8:60 points.
There was nothing along the capital's club looks ahead to the Upper House after 13 years of decline. Trainer Lucien Favre had to take after the seventh match his hat. Friedhelm Funkel's successor could not loseisen the team also from the end table. With new players like Theofanis Gekas is the turning point in the second half to be achieved to prevent the super-Gau yet.
Glücksgriff the first round
Conjured when Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of Jupp Heynckes as a successor to Bruno Labbadia out of the hat, shook his head, many experts. Heynckes, the outgoing model, a relic of bygone days, and on the other hand, the young, capricious Bayer Elf. An experiment that seemed doomed to failure.
But far from it: Heynckes turned out to be a real stroke of luck. The 64-year-old brought order and system into Harakiri earlier, the Leverkusen game, took care of a pleasant working environment and set of talents like Toni Kroos and Stefan Kiessling fixed sizes.
This is also clearly visible in figures. Bayer has since the eighth consecutive match to the table top and remained unbeaten as the only professional team the entire first round about. And coincidentally Heynckes working on his own success story: the last 23 Bundesliga matches, the coach has not lost his last defeat, he conceded on 27 January 2007 with Gladbach (in Cottbus 1:3).
Coach of the first round
Magath makes it possible: No other coach of the football league in the first round has brought out so much from his team like Schalke 04 Felix Magath at A team that, although the staff is not settled by the performance close to the top in the league, has achieved second place and 34 points the maximum.
Everything was tackled Magath, snapped: With his notorious medicine ball preparation he put his physical fundamentals that are already paid off several times. It always conjured up again new unknowns out of the hat, which developed the incumbents ousted and a new Schalke Nouveau. Moritz and Schmitz, Matip Zambrano and reward the courage of the coach with benefits that hardly anyone had credited them.
And Magath brought those back on track, which had geschwächelt in recent years - most notably Kevin Kuranyi, who was the controversial Chancentod to guide players.
Shock of the first round
On 10 November remained the world are, the shock was in the attack around the country. Rarely in Germany were shocked more people than honest after the news of the suicide of the National goalkeeper Robert Enke. Never was such a celebrity was so dramatically torn the victim of his illness, never the facade of the great heroes of sport "so cruel.
Depression had robbed the keeper of Hannover 96 to face life.
Even so, the spontaneous expressions of grief of the fans were so moving, was the cancellation of an international match of the Test team so logically the shaking of his colleagues as honest and universal admiration for the widow so real. There was a lot of "pause" and "rethink" the talk "teaching" should be drawn. Hopefully it really is something to be in business together in the future professional football.
The memory of Robert Enke fate has certainly deserves more than just a street name in Hanover.
